Registered User | well when i replaced the motor i got the exhaust work done manifold back by a local shop, who didnt but the o2 bung on there because i guess he thought it went on the manifold...anwyas i dont live there anymore so i cant take it back to them...but what i was thinking of doing is findin a nut that the o2 sensor screws into, drilling a hold in the pipe, and use that exhaust sealer crap to seal the nut to the pipe if that not a good idea, how much should i expect to pay for a o2 bung welded on? __________________ 1995 YJ Rio Grande 2.5L 5sp 5.5" of lift/ the "no fender mod"/ Rhino Lined tub & flares/ RE SYE w/ Tom Woods shaft/Plenty of mods to come! Need 2.5L parts? You did'nt with the engine mods. __________________ Out of the darkness comes light. Last edited by BamaJeeper : 02-26-2004 at 05:53 AM. |

O2 sensors (pre '96) are there to fine tune your fuel injector pulse width. If you have the sensor wired up but just dangling there, its reading excessively lean and therefore youd be running too fat, specially in cold weather. |
