Vrooom...sput sput....wtf?

i put a few mods on my jeep, 4.0 t-body and t-body spacer, K&N intake (not filter ,intake), flowmaster 50 series...various other stuff, now when its at idle it sputters sometimes, like misses, and when im driving and floor it, it feels like its holding back, then when i let up it goes normal

also i dont have a 02 sensor hooked up could this be part of it? should i get a rock it parts adjustable map and cps?

im not getting anycodes besides the 02 sensor

Hook the o2 sensor up man. It is there for a reason. It's absense is why your jeep is running like crap.

well when i replaced the motor i got the exhaust work done manifold back by a local shop, who didnt but the o2 bung on there because i guess he thought it went on the manifold...anwyas i dont live there anymore so i cant take it back to them...but what i was thinking of doing is findin a nut that the o2 sensor screws into, drilling a hold in the pipe, and use that exhaust sealer crap to seal the nut to the pipe

if that not a good idea, how much should i expect to pay for a o2 bung welded on?

It's not gonna stay unless it's welded and it will still run like crap if you try to "glue" it in. Why go cheap on this? You did'nt with the engine mods.

to re-itterate what the others are saying, any exhaust shop should be able to do it pretty cheap.

the reason you want it in? O2 sensors (pre '96) are there to fine tune your fuel injector pulse width. If you have the sensor wired up but just dangling there, its reading excessively lean and therefore youd be running too fat, specially in cold weather.
