Very newbie question on "side affects" of YJ Suspension lift...
First off id like to say hi to all, long time forum reader first time poster...
I am a fairly new Jeep owner, always love to have one, so i got a 1995 Wrangler a few months back, but hated how it looked with no lift, so i had a Procomp Suspension Lift 4" , put some 31" BFG All Terrains and loved the way it looked, the problem i have is that i rarely go offroading right now and use it more on street but my jeep lost all flex on the suspension, seems like im riding a board with wheels (i would go over a dip and i almost hit my head on the roof!) ... is this a normal thing? Is there something i can do to increase flex??
Ive been thinking of having a Coilover done, but id hate to lose the investment i had done with the Procomp suspension lift, any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Pro comp is known for it's stiff springs. Also check your shackle bolts. If they are tooo tight.....bounce bounce bounce. 40lbs/in torque is recommended. Welcome to the jeep family....it only gets more expensive from here.

also, from what I hear procomp (also known as Procrap) doesnt make very good lift kits for the YJ.
even though they are leafsprung, they can still ride great. kits like Rubicon Express, BDS, or OME have exceptional ride quality and top notch offroad performance.

yeah, since i did my lift i've read some real bad reviews on Procomp suspensions , i should have done my research i guess. maybe i'll do a switch later on, but gonna try this one for a while, see how it runs. Thanks again!

torque wrench. You can buy or rent them at the local autoparts store. Just make sure and get the ft/lbs one...not the in/lbs one.

Also, make sure your bushings in the shackles are greased up good. I have greasable ones (makes it much easier) but you will probably need to pull them apart to grease them up. It really helps smooth things out.
If the lift is brand new it might soften up after you get some miles on it.
Hope this helps.

can i jsut ask why you ahve 31's when you have 6 inches of lift? i mean yes gas mileage but doesnt it look goofy? i think a nice set of 33' or hell ever 35's would look nasty. just a question i mean its your jeep and if you like it thats all that matters.
