Hey, again, as in my last question it was about a fuel problem, i cleaned out all the lines and there was a chunk of rubber in the tank, i highly doubt that was why my Jeep would die and or not start, so what i am wondering, since it does pump fuel and work, if it could be Vapor Lock or something quitting, can anyone explain vapor lock or help me with my problem? Thanks
When a fuel is heated, vapor is driven off, which in turn reduces the volatility of the remaining fuel. This is usually caused by a preexisting cooling problem. As the engine over heats it causes the fuel to boil. A fuel line too close to the exhaust might also do it. If you shut the engine off for a while and let it cool, it should restart.
