Vacuum Disconnect Problems

87 Jeep YJ. The end hose (2WD)and the top hose (4WD) has vacuum when placed in 2WD and 4WD. This part works.

The problem is the disconnect only moves when the far end hose is off. I pull this end hose off and tried to blow in it. It seems stopped up. Is this suppose to be a vent hose? The 4x4 light does not work either.

the 3rd hose runs to the vacuum switch on the fire wall and is what turns the 4wd light on. kinda sounds like you've got vac on both ports instead of one at a time depending on which range you want. if that's the case, it's probably the vac switch on the t-case causing the problem.

Blue hose should be the vent hose.

All hoses are black. So the third hose gets it vacuum from the second hose that pulls the ford to lock the axles?

x2. blue plastic type line from the x-fer case is not to be connected to anything. It's a common mistake to plug it into a vacuum line because it looks like it should go somewhere. Result is either the disconnect won't work or the 4wd light won't work or both.

I looked at it today. 3 tubes going to the disconnect form the TC switch. One going in the TC switch form the vacuum source. No lines going to the 4x4 light switch device. I guess someone swapped all the hoses. I wonder if the far end line suppose to be the vent line and a new hose going from the far end connection to the 4x4 switch?
