vacuum actuator bypass?

I have been reading alot of people just swap a TJ front axle, but has anyone just locked the YJ axles together and disconnected the motor?

Yep search for home made posi lock, or you can just take off the c clip slide the actuator and replace the c clip for a constant lock.
