I plan on removing the exhaust piece that goes from cat to stock air cleaner.. but there is a vac line from that to where the 4x4 vac lines are.. can I just plug that port?
there is no vacuum line from the cat to anything. the only vacuum lines from that area are the ones from the t-case to the canister and then to the front axle. it might be a vent that maybe got melted on to the line or exhaust though
I had a picture of it.. it has the big hoses that went into the air breather at the top of it and just a little bit lower is a small line going down to where the 4x4 vac lines are.. ill probably have to go take a picture again lol
I believe that your two way cat had that hose which is part of you EGR system. If you remove the cat (why?) the EGR becomes useless. BUT if you still have the ECU controlling things it may mess things up since the ECU controls the EGR solenoid, etc.
If this jeep engine has been Nuttered (Google John Nutter) then removing the EGR pump/solenoid should have no effect on the engine performance.
I'm not removing the cat. I just wanted to remove that part as its just in the way and I'm not sure its doing anything. My egr isn't hooked up. I'm nuttered and have a 2150 carb. I was just curious what the smaller vac line on there is going to or supposed to go to. It looks like its going down to the 4x4 vacuum lines.
Everything else attached is plugged besides that one line in picture
