ok guys im gathering parts for a V8 swap. im gonna do a 305/700r4/231c/j. Im using a 305 cause it was free!!! Even though it was free im in the process of rebuilding it now to freshen everything up, the tranny i have to go pick it up today.. i bought a 231c out of a s10 blazer and got the 700r4 adapter from that rig so i could bolt all that stuff up without costly adapters..
To build the t-case using 231c and 231j ive read on here that i need to use the front half of the "c" and the back half Of the "j".. so im gonna ask, do i use the "j" main shaft in the "c" with the "c" gears for the rear drive shaft side and the "c" front drive shaft yoke and shaft and wider chain? How much of the "j" do i actually use? im just needing to know which internal parts of the "j" i need to use.. I remember seeing a thread on building a 231c/j with lots of pics, but i can not find it.. could someone help?
