Upgraded over the weekend

So I previously owned a 1990 Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5tbi and a 5 speed, 30" tires, hardtop with hard doors, 150k, fender flares, and fogs and spotters. The bad: the frame was rotting everywhere, the wiring was a mess, and the transmission was missing 3rd and 4th gear.

I got the opportunity to purchase from a coworker a Jeep he had as a toy in his driveway that his wife wanted gone. It was a 1995 Jeep wrangler with a 2.5mpi and a 5 speed, headers, 31" cooper discovery like new tires, 4" RC lift kit with a 1" body lift, 5k on rebuilt tranny and no frame rust at all. The bad: there is a few spots of body rust that wasn't on my old YJ and the interior is rougher, but that's all small stuff compared to the problems I was having with my old one. It also has 200k.

He sold it to me for 1,500 bucks!

I had to go for it, so I sold my old one on craigslist for 1,500 wanting a quick sale and bought this for the same price. Here is pics of both, what do you think?
btw I made the front bumper this weekend, it didn't come with it and I transferred the spotters from my old one. I also painted the rims this weekend.

Let me know what you think guys. BTW I know they look a lot alike which I find hilarious but owell
Dave

Hey if you are happy with the new jeep great you did well then.

A 89 yj with a 4.0 aw4 sye out of an 92xj. Now the hard part is done time to get it up in the air just a bit. Working on 8.8 with 3.73 and lsd for the rear. and new D30 hp with 3.73 .
For those who have not figured this out I'm old school but can handle the new too.

the old one looked better because it has more appearance mods but this new one is way healthier mechanically so in the long run it should be a good choice.

Thats a great deal. You got the MPI and the better drive shaft, and the roll bar. You did it right. Everything you said is wrong is just window dressing with the rust free frame in Wisconsin. Cant wait to see what you do with it.

1500 bucks that's a score man. Congrats for sure! Just keep the fluids changed out and maintain that engine. 200k is getting up there, but not over the hill yet.
