Ok. Hopefully someone else can help provide some info. His plug wires are reversed and the engine will not crank when put in the correct order, only when reversed. Timing is soon to be checked. Anything to look for?
It can be at #1 2 times. once for compression and the other for exhaust. If you have spark and no start you are probably on exhaust. Pull the #1 plug and put your finger over the hole. Feel if you are getting the air pushing against the finger as you turn the crank.

I did have the timing out 180.
I fixed that. put in a new CPS and the ol'e girl fired right up, no hard start or anything.
Drove around the loop and she drove like a champ, very pleased with the way she runs.
