Turn singal does not turn off when I turn left.

I have a 95 jeep that I have been rebuilding. I am having an issue with my turn signal. When I turn left the turn signal does not click off. But when I turn right it does. Is this a hard fix? Do I have to rip into the steering column?

I'll bet that you've recently installed a lift and your steering wheel does not set straight. Park somewhere where the tires are straight, then get up under there loosen the ends on the drag link and twist it until the steering wheel is straight. Repeat as necessary.

Turn singal does not turn off when I turn left

I just fixed this in my 94 yj. I installed and new turn signnal multifunction switch. The spring was broken that cancels the turn signal. It just got to be annoying so I had to spend the $25 and fix it. If you have any question feel free to ask while I have it fresh in my head. Good luck

yeah my YJ has done that ever since I got it. I just got in the habit of turning it back off manually. though I admit I do forget it sometimes and end up looking like an old lady driving around with my blinker on

I've done that once where my father was following me. Needless to say pokes were poked That was when it still worked too! Darn merges.

How hard is it to fix? Where did you get the parts at?

My left one doesn't turn off either. I now just have the habit of clicking it back off. Real fun when I go to drive a car where it works and I keep trying to turn it off but it's already off.

If alignment is correct(steering wheel is straight when driving straight ) see above quote for repair.

so what if the steering wheel is not straight when driving straight? Neither of my signals turn off by themselves, I have seen previous posts about replacing the springs, so I will definitely do that, but I know for a fact that my steering wheel is way off.

Must be a Jeep Thing

Mine does too. I have the new canceling cam in the garage, just haven't got around to pulling the wheel.
