Turn off Maintenance Required Idiot Light

Hey people, Im new to this forum and have already learned alot. I just bought a 91 YG 6 banger, 5 speed. Bone stock right now. Was just wondering how to turn off the maintenance required light. I unplugged the battery thinking that would work but no go. Oh yea, I did find the rear CVC or PCV valve vacume hose not connected. Re-connected it, runs lots better, but still that damn idiot light.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok: Found the answer courtesy of BC4x4.com

The MAINT REQ light is based on a timer, NOT feedback from any
sensors. It is telling you that it's time to change the O2 sensor,
even though there may be nothing wrong with it.

4.0L YJs' computers contain the timing mechanism and must be
re-set by the dealer (or you could just unplug the bulb). 4.2L YJs
using a mechanical timer mounted to the driver's side firewall
(under the dash). With some patience and tinkering, you can
reset it.

If this is your emissions/engine maintenance light it comes on after you drive 85,000 miles telling you to change your oxygen sensor. You are suppose to replace the module at the same time to start the cycle over again. It is behind your carpet near the gas pedal, you can unplug it there if you just want to shut the light off.
I wonder were that dirt road goes?
