Tuffy console jammed!! help! :brickwall

So I managed to jam my acu top in the center consoles locking mechanism. It unlocks, and both sides come up, but the middle is where it is jammed. My ID card and stuff is in there and I need it for work in the am. Tried EVERYTHING for the past 2 hrs.....
the lock is not broken, so no point in drilling it...

PLEASE HELP!!!

I know you said its unlocked and no pount in drilling out the lock, but can you drill beside the lock to get a bar in and get enough leverage to open it? Can you post a few pics?

Are the locks on those replaceable? If so, why not just grind it off flush with the top of the box?

This is very interesting.

Maybe after 18 years it wants to retire. Wanna know the answer in case this ever happens to me; Good Luck.

Maybe try locking it and trying to open it. It could be possible that the latch was moved laterally and is sitting at a 45* angle in the unlocked position...

I got it! at the back side there is the hinge, Bust off one edge and pull the pinn out it will then open from the back where you might be able to reach in and do whatever you need to do to the lock to make it work.

YOUR WELCOME.

Grind the hinge off then try to get it up far enough to get it unjammed. The tomorrow go the the hardware store buy a new piano hinge and weld it on.
