Tuff Stuff Front Bumper

I purchased a tuff stuff bumper last month around the 9th it comes from truck and winch. Only problem is that i found out its on back order every week they said next week. So they finally got some in today but its the TJ version. I was told i wouldn't receive it till January 15th and that is not 100 percent. It bugs me since its a sick bumper for the price. I picked it up with shipping for 231 dollars. It looks exactly like the smittybuilt version which they are offering to me for 300 with shipping so 70 dollars extra since they screwed up. My question is should i wait for the tuff stuff or go for the smittybuilt version. Iam just worried that smitty built wont be as good and that the Tuff Stuff winch i bought wont fit on the winch plate. here are links to what i am talking aboot. the winch i picked up http://truckandwinch.com/tuff-stuff-...ery-winch.html

the bumper i was suppose to get
http://truckandwinch.com/spyder-xrc-...5-jeep-yj.html

smittybuilt one they want to give me but iam worried winch wont mount on it
http://truckandwinch.com/smittybilt-...per-76801.html

let me know what you guys think. Thanks

pretty much every winch has the same "bolt pattern" to mount it, some have extra (usually above 12k). there should be no issues at all

I would get your money back and go with the ebay special. Same exact bumper. Different name. They're both smittybilt knockoffs but its a sweet bumper at a great price.

I've actually considered this bumper myself. Unless I can get a PSC or savvy for a miracle price.

I have seen the smittybilt and can attest that a winch will mount to it. I even oversaw the installation onto AmmitOsiris' Yj. Not a bad little bumper.

The ebay one mentions that it comes with 2 D-rings.
Your tuffstuff add has no mention in any of the description/spec tabs about coming with D-rings, just that it has mounts for them. Maybe not an expensive item, but when you're on a budget $5-$30 can make a difference.

I went to a place locally, High Country 4x4, and got the "house bumper". It is a Warn look-a-like, made here locally, and looks nice. It is a TJ bumper, though, but that just ment i needed to drill 2 holes and cut 4 slots(for the shackles) in the bumper.
I paid $225 out the door for it. I thought not bad considering a winch plate is near $100 by itself.

I like it more every time I see it.

Not that the XRC wasn't their design, but I find it humorous that a company knocked off a brand known for knock offs

They don't have to put time and money into R&D so it makes prices lower

Thanks a lot for all the info, i didn't know there were other knock offs. This is a cool design i probably will cancel it now so i can use my very heavy paper weight. There isn't any snow in the forecast for 7 days straight hopefully i get the bumper from ebay by then.
