I can and do make them a reality...I say "this is what I want, make it so" and a few curse words and lots of alcohol for Martin...a little bit of dirt and grinder dust for me.....(cause by now you all should realize Martin doesn't let me just sit back and look like Dale.....but that's besides the point)

tada just like magic, they appear! It's as easy as that!...

Ahhhh, ok! yeah i just noticed the lights now you mentioned them...had to look again!
they look pretty sweet!
i have all the stuff for the rear fenders, but ran outta gas for the mig, and hate using flux core, so that was that!
got a few jobs to do on the truck tommorow, then if i have time before i leave out, will make the rears the same.....1.75" tubing and sheetmetal to the fender...

thanks moose!
now stacy is wanting the rear fenders on, and then tie them together and make a step out of the tubing running between them..
oviously have to grind off the current steps on the rockers guards, but oh well....

what kinda tubing are you using. when you weld do you prefer flux core versus the other stuff, like does it make a prettier weld and all? about how much gas will you use up when welding?

been using .110 wall hrew for the fenders.....
i use gas/solid wire....30 gauge wire.
the gas bottle (big size) last about forever...
the bottle i just replaced did
mine from a bare frame, my cage, my soa, and all dales stuff (cage, soa etc)
so lasts a long time!!
the solid wire gives a MUCH better looking bead, no chipping off to do or anything....

hot rolled electric weld

it has a weld seam cheaper than dom tude and about as strong. just make sure you know where the seam is when bending. any where but on the out side of the bend.

the fenders look great

thanks for the compliment!
yeah, i always put the bend on the inside myself. as for the strengh, i would say that dom is considerably stronger.....thats why the cage is full .125 wall dom!
