tube fender build
i built tube fenders after crashing into my best friend head on on my 18th birthday,totaling his 4 runner and bending my bumper plus fenders

the back will consist of side panels bolting up all sheet metal is being made of 11ga steel and the tube is 1 1/4" .120 wall its not dom tubing

so in order to repair the damage to the flares and the bumper i decided rather than buying just some plastic fender flares i was going to make metal flat fenders for the front and rear tube fenders with side panels for increased protection i also will be making a bumper and used 11ga for rocker guards they dont go below to the body mounts though and i made a stinger so far im into the project 175 bucks with the rear panels being cut on the plasma cam bye bye birthday money i was actually gonna use the money to change my gears in the front so i could have 4wd again but no such luck

How do you keep that bender from making flat spots and kinks in the tube?

I used that same HF bender, used the same pipe(1x.120 HREW), and welded it all up with my hobart wire welder.

you make sure you have the seam pointed down go slow and move the bend if its a big one it did kink my stinger due to the angle
|
