Trouble accessing u-Joint zerk

I've got a 93 Wrangler and I can't get my grease gun's nozzle to fit in the tiny spot that the zerk is located. I've got a standard grease gun with a flex tube, but the actual metal tip is too fat to fit into that location. What does everyone else here do? Should I grind down the tip on the nozzle, or remove that zerk and add a longer zerk? I really don't want to take the u-joint apart everytime I need to grease it. Thanks in advance.

take it apart one more time and replace the zerk with the flat needle type, then you can use the matching fitting to grease it. I have those everywhere, they are way harder to break off as well.

You can also use that adapter for your grease gun with a regular zert.

JBolty, you taught me something. I did not know about that zert. I always wondered how to use that attachment to my grease guns?

Well I be! I will be adding them to my arsenal.

Just put the point of the needle where the ball is in the grease cert.
Push it in and hold it, pump the grease into it.
