Does anyone know where to get a tranmission mount bracket for an ax-15 YJ ASAP? I haven't been having any luck. Thanks

Did you call Autozone? They sell them, and they might even have them in stock. If not there, Napa might be another option.

Whcich brkt are you taking about? The torque arm is the plate that is between the tranny mount and the skid plate you can only get them in two places, the junk yard or the dealer. I go mine from a yard for 15 and I think the dealer charges somewhere around 60.

As for the tranny mount I bought mine from M.O.R.E. off road. Just search ax15 transmission mount and it should come up.

I searched every junkyard within 100 miles, not one has a jeep. I called the dealer and they said it'd be at least 3 days. I need to get this done within the next 2 days. I'm on the final stretch of reassembly.

I think the OP needs the torque arm plate that goes between the mount & the tranny, like in this pic.

I haven't been able to find one for sale online anywhere.

That's exactly what I need. The torque arm plate. I found one about 2 1/2 hours away. I'm going to pick it up in the AM.
Omohundro: if you know anyone that can weld well, I'd just have it welded. They are extremely hard to find.
Mine was for a 4cyl, I'm in the middle of doing a complete drivetrain swap from a cherokee. 4 cyl plates do not match.

I was able to order one through my local 4x4 dealer here. It was an Omix distributor. They are out of Atlanta, I think. I think Omix is a Rugged Ridge company too. I'm not 100% sure. Google Omix Jeep replacement parts. Hope that helps.

Just bevel the crack with a grinder and weld it with a 7018 rod the weld will flex before it cracks again, put a root pass, grind and a second pass overlapping both sides, it'll be stronger than a new one....ask me how i know....or just take it to anybody who knows how to weld, easy fix.

I would definately just weld it up if I had one that was cracked but I need one for a 6cyl not a 4cyl. Looks like I'm riding my motorcycle 2 hours away to pick one up.

Ax 15 Transmission Mount

I am in the middle of my first Jeep build which came with the motor and transmission/ transfer case out in parts. I have had my 1987 YJ 4.2 motor completely rebuilt. I decided to change out the transmission to an AX 15 which I found and had also completely rebuilt along with the NP 321 transfer case. I changed the bell housing to an external slave set-up and everything has bolted up real nice so far.
But like you guys have mentioned the transmission mount has not been that easy to locate. In the process of trying to find the proper transmission mount everything I found was with the two bolt single row type for 87 to 96 and the AX 15 has a two row bolt pattern. I have researched this for sometime I have found two types that I think may work. One from Autozone part number 2882 for about 33.00 bucks and it appears it will bolt right up (haven't bolted it on yet i just bought it today) the second one is from Novak-adapt.com part number RMAX15 for 84.00 and it appears to be completely adjustable. I hope I am on the right path but maybe what I have found you can check out, I am still learning.
