transfer case problems

Last night I was playing in the snow. I got stuck and I was in 2 wheel drive, put it in 4 wheel drive and herd a loud BANG!! Then all I had was rear wheel drive. I was able to drive it home( barley, cuz of mass snow) Was wondering if my t-case chain broke or what. Please help!!

It could be the chain or a front axle shaft or the front driveshaft. Start crawling around and checking things.

yes, the drive to the back axle is straight through. the chain only drives the gear to the front
