Transfer Case Problem

took the yj offroading for the first time today and went into 4-H fine but will not go backinto 2-H no matter what I do i have tried everything...HELP

it goes down to Neutral and 4-L and back up to 4-H but not to 2-H

Go underneath the vehicle and look at the linkage to see if there is any binding. Are you sure that you're not in 2-H? Or is the 4WD indicator light on?

Light is on I am 100% sure it is in 4-H

It may not be in 4 high. Your shift fork may just be stuck because of a vacuum problem. Check to make sure the shifter is in the correct position. Then crack the central axle disconnect and see why your shift fork is stuck.
