Tow hooks...revisited

I did a search and saw some good ideas from the past, but I just kind of wanted to throw this out there again.

Anybody got any good ideas for rear mounted tow hooks on a YJ? There's just so damned little space back there with the gas tank (and I don't have a hitch). Any ideas would be helpful. I was kicking around maybe picking up a pair of the TJ tow hooks (ie - smaller mounting surface), but was looking for some opinions before I went down to the local DC dealer and put out the $$. Anybody tried this? Think it'd work?

You can mount universal tow hooks on the sides of the frame behind the rear tie. See for a photo essay.
