TJ Top Question

I am considering the TJ soft top conversion on my 95 YJ but have a few questions. Can I still use my rounded corner upper YJ Supertop doors? Can I still use my YJ safari top, bikini top, cab curtain, and tonneau cover? Will I have to change all my accessories from my YJ model and get all TJ stuff? I have full doors also but they arent in good shape. I can find TJ doors all over in the correct color but I know the latch and strikers are different. In threory, couldnt I use TJ doors and just swap the latch in favor of the YJ latch with out changing the striker?

I havent done this yet but from what I have read:

yep, YJ doors will still work

tops will not fit because you will be deleting the jamb lip at the front (you can always put them back on for bikini weather though)

The TJ doors and the YJ doors are the same shape, only the latch and plastic/guts are different.

lets see some pictures!

Search my user name here on Jeepforum.com - I did the swap about a year ago. I also swapped in a TJ rollbar (my YJ had the sport bar), and since I was using a Bestop Trektop- it created some additional headaches. It can all be done though. The biggest hurdle is the YJ windshield frame. It needs a bunch of mods to seal to the TJ top header. Welding and fabrication is required.
