Tj shafts into YJ D30

Ok I got all my parts to do this today. Now I have read put the seal at the cad or at the differential on the passenger side? I don't see a spot for the seal on the passenger side of the Differential:confused:

There isn't one there stock.

The 11800 seal has an OD that allows a tight seat into the tube.

Inside the Differential? on the passenger side not at the CAD?

Yes inside the differential. Hope you got two seals, one always gets boogered up

x2 napa 1800 keep all your shims etc together when you remove the carrier, and put the caps back on the same side they came off of and in the same orientation.

I installed the TC switch and it don't work. I don't think it drops in far enough? The light comes on with the wires touching.

Does the light come on with the switch out of the TC? Try removing the switch and plugging it into the harness as if it were mounted. Touch the body of the switch to a known ground and try depressing the plunger. If it lites up you know it's the plate not depressing the switch. I bet it's the connector on top of the switch not making contact.

Yea I'm going to test it Monday. I'm not sure that plug fits to the switch vary well. I sent half my day running around trying to find a new seal I boogered up. :o

Does it need to be grounded, Larry? Its just a continuation of the hot wire going to the light which should be grounded behind the dash.

Dake: did you have to cut the shaft for the SYE at all?
