TJ Mirrors with Pictures!

Several threads on the subject. The question of weather they fit was resolved. Everyone asks to see pictures including myself before I added them. None of the previous threads had any pictures posted so I thought i'd throw these out here for anyone else thinking of swapping to the TJ mirrors.

I only wish i had gotten these sooner. My sanity is now restored as I can drive down the freeway without my mirrors tilting down from the wind. I highly recommend these.

The stealership and some of the online stores are pretty expensive IMO. I purchased mine on ebay for $25 each. Ended up being about $75 total with shipping.

Who sells mirrors like that for when the doors are off? Those look really good, I want some just like it but don't ever use doors.

I know for the YJ and CJ7 places like quadratec and 4wd sell mirror relocation brackets that attach the mirrors to the front windshield brackets.

I hear a lot of complaints about visibility with these types of brackets.

Also I'm not sure if they will work for a CJ5. You could always fab something up though.

I can second the visibility issues on the mirror movers. I love having them off the doors for the legal issues in relation to no doored driving, but they are really tough to see. I am thinking that CJ style mirrors will be my next move, painted Duraliner black..

Those look really good on there! And... you don't have the flaking paint issue like lots of YJ's seem to have with their mirror bases (including mine). Those might be the next thing I add to my Jeep.

Thanks for the info.

A lot of the YJ full metal doors came with the small mirrors and so they would not fit those doors without some drilling and tapping. Some of the newer full metal doors on the YJ's (95' if not 94' also) came with these standard sized mirrors and they will fit on those no problem.

Like Leans said you'd have to drill and tap the full doors, that's what I did....

Seems my 94 with full metal doors have that same 3 bolt pattern. I think they will fit. Need to do some research. Mine suffer from the corroding/ flaking problem that they all do.
