Tj flares installation ....

ok , im sure there are a lot of fellow jeepers out there that have done this mod , so i have a couple of questions for them ,did you guys completly flushed them to the fender or is this enough?

I put flares on mine. It was a PIA. I ended up buying all new SS hardward. They never did match flush to the fender as the original. Still look really good. Now for some new rims and big fat tires. I don't think any of this aftermarket stuff is perfect.

Driver's side went almost perfect , im done whit the trimming now i just need to drill the holes for the new hardware ...

Looks good. What did you end up using to cut the extra fender away in the back? What did you do with your turn signals?

All i used was a jigsaw , and a couple of beers , i ordered tj side markers for the front ..

I have an angle grinder and a cutting wheel, so I think thats what I'll use. Looks good.

An angle grinder will do allright , most people used them for this mod , i just happend to have a jigsaw ...

that looks nice jruba! I love that color blue! i can't wait to get my TJ flares... my Rubicon extra wides are on order from quadratec right now!! they're supposed to come in on the 13th

Nice Job. I am getting ready to do the same. Need to go get some clamps, didn't think about using those to hold up the fender. Just need to make the first cut.


Are the rear fenders just centered over the rear tire?
