TJ back seat in a YJ

Has anybody ever fabbed a wider TJ seat into the back of there YJ? I've been keeping My eyes peeled on craigs list for a seat. I have three girls, It turns into a battle when we try and take them all with us wheeling. I am willing to cut My wheel wells to do this, but was hopeing someone has done it and took pictures. My tub is Raptor lined and I think after the modifications I could blend the Raptor in and make it look good. Until I find a seat, I wont know where to cut.

Im going for it! I found some 97 TJ seats on craigs list and scooped them up for $120. Front and back, In pretty good shape. The back seat came with the brackets to bolt it into the tub. When I got home with them, I got on the net to find out how hard it is to put the front seats on YJ seat mounts, and to My surprise, the TJ seat cushions are about 3 inchs thicker then My YJ's. Not gonna work on My stock sliders. The front seats are on the back burner for now, but Im going to cut up My wheel wells in the back tomorrow. I will take some pictures as I progress and post them up for You all to see. Wish Me luck!

Well, Im part way through the modification! I cut the wheel wells today and started skinning it back together. I was hoping I could cut one wheel well and flip it upside down and use it on the other side to fill the hole. Didn't work. Got some 16 gauge sheet metal at tractor supply instead. I took a lot of pictures, but don't have time to down load them right now. I will tomorrow. hopefully the wife will let Me work on it a little bit tomorrow, being Moms day and all. so far, this isn't as big a deal as I thought it would be. turning out sweet.

I am looking for a Ford Ranger bench seat. And have been recently thinking about putting the rear seat out of a van in the back. That means seating for 6. The back seat would sit on top of the wheel wells.
It's the darn OME suspension. Maybe Rough Country will ward off the masses...

Sorry to say, but putting the rear seat on top of the wheel wells would be way to high. Your head would be above the rollbar.

I've been trying to put up some pictures for a couple hours now. Starting to piss Me off. My wife has a new Nikon and for some reason, the forum doesn't like the pictures it takes. I'll try some from My phone.
