Time for new tires. Suggestions?

I've read the product reviews on the site, but am looking for a little more insight. I drive the Jeep 50 miles round trip to work every day, plow with it, and drive it through fields/woods on weekends; no real rock-climbing to speak of. Is there a tire that is aggressive enough to provide traction when I plow, pull it through the mud, but still ride and wear decent on the expressway? By the way, I'm currently running 31's and considering 32's or 33's. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would recommend the BFG AT KO's. They wear well on road and are great in almost all terrain.

The BFG AT are an excellent choice but if u want something that looks more aggressive i would go with Mastercraft Courser MT. ive been running them for 2 years and still have 50% tread

What mileage though??? Ive gotten at least 50K out of the last two sets I owned of the BFG. And there latest design is very aggressive looking.

I will throw it out there, trxus m/t's. Very aggressive and great traction, I here they were faster than other tires though.

I'm gonna say BFG MT's too. I've run both At's and MT's on different rigs and the Mt's beat the At hands down for traction, and they aren't real noisy. I ran em on a fullsize 87 waggy for three years and they had plenty of life left, I just happened to poke a hole in the sidewall of one of em and went to Super swamper ltb's since it was no longer my DD.

Now you wanna talk about traction!!!!

I will throw in a vote for the BFG MTs. I run parnelli jones dirt grips on my yj and I really like these tires. I think for you purpose I would run 33x10.5 Bfg MTs. I have had these on my 67 Scout for 4 years now and probably 10k miles. Tires wear great for a aggressive tread. I can't tell a whole lot of difference between those and the at's on the highway. Great tires.

Goodyear MT/R's. They are good on the street, and perform above average every where and I got 45,000 miles out of my last set. I tried some Dean Mt's and they are a sucky tire. Wife says the next set has to be MT/R's because she likes the predictive handling, low noise and the "point and shoot" nature of the tires (she points the jeep where she wants to go and it just goes with the MT/R's). Rotate them and keep them properly aired up(& down when off road) and you will enjoy them. Sam's Club/Walmart has some really great prices on them.

2 reviews/suggestions for one...

You know I'm a BFG guy also and I'd also recommend the AT's, although just the other day I was looking at tires for my Rover and I saw the price on General Grabber's in a 31x10.5x18 that looked pretty nice compared to the BFG's price and the tread looked pretty similar. BFG ~250, Grabber was ~165. Just something to consider.

I know Im going to hear I told you so
I have the hitec retreads and they dont perform too well on the rocks
My friend has BFG MTs and he crawls over the stuff I have problems with
I will be buying new (REAL) tires this summer before the Jeep Jamboree
The retreads will be for sale but after this review Im not sure who will want them

Sounds like BFG is the favorite. I looked them both up and it seems like the MT KO is a little more aggressive and might fair better in the snow pushing a plow. Road noise isn't really a concern -- it's a jeep after all. Thanks for all of your replies, they've been extremely helpful. By the way, the TrXus tires were eliminated simply because they were endorsed by a Red Sox fan. Just kidding. Go Yanks.
