Thoughts on Lights?

I was thinking of taking out the square lights and sealing that area up.
Or replacing the headlamps with fog or driving lights.
Then bolting these to the fenders as replacement head lights,
or vise versa:

Light specs:
Original equipment on Autocar
High/low beam headlight
Meets SAE/DOT headlamp specifications
Steel housing with chrome bezel
1/2" dia. adjustable ball stud

What you think?

Is there a problem with the regular headlights? Any body damage preventing the normal rectangular lights from fitting? If you are looking for a project because you are bored in the winter, how about cleaning up the engine intake or exhaust? Install a CB? Install on-board-air? Trim your spring u-bolts for more clearance?

I personally think it is a terrible idea, but whatever floats your boat.
