Temperature control lights?

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be some kind of lighting behind this?

Mine is lit from behind, I've never changed the bulbs though so I'm not sure how to access them. I think you can just take that piece of dash off and get to them.

You can reach the bulb if you take the radio out.

If remember correctly, it takes the small "bean" looking bulb (for lack of a better term). I replaced all of mine with LED bulbs and look much better and brighter. No big thing removing that part out either.

Remove the screws from the trim piece surrounding your column and pull it forward just a bit. Then remove the 3 or 4 top screws and 3 bottom screws from the panel with the radio. Remove it. Then the 4 screws from the climate control. Pull it out. The bulb is on the glove box side of the CC.

If you look in the sticky section there is a write up on LED conversions for your dash lights.

The temp control is supposed to light up with the dash lights??? Who knew?! Mine never has since I bought it. Just been hanging around towards the bottom of the "I'll get to that and fix it eventually" list, lol.

I was gonna do it today but it's cold as balls and windy out, and I don't feel like pulling the plastics off my dash lol.

is there a way to get to it from beneath, like maybe if you could move the ash tray/lighter out of the way?

alright. how exactly does the radio come out? I've never done it before. mine isn't the stock one but I figure it can't vary too much between stock and aftermarket.
