The installed Brake Booster reman'd from Advance Auto Parts. MC from a E350 Ford Motor Home as modified above. The Evaporative Canister is back on, notable since the bracket was so bad I considered getting a newer one until I went to work on it with POR-15. The brake lines are a set from Inline Tube via 4wd.
The install of the dash components has started. The harness is sitting above the brake mount. The connector and internal fuse box has been added. The red heater control cable has been remounted. The brake mount has been painted as well as the front bracket that you see screwed to the cowel with 2 shiny bolts on the top part. That part gets messy, so I decided to sand the rust and paint it also.
Note the E brake was installed first, and the cable reinstalled through the floor.
You can say the accelerator is almost to the floor on the rebuild. I painted that whole bracket also, and have already reconnected the throttle cable to the cowl. Test pulls on the wire for the fun of it have yielded movement on the throttle body. I am getting excited.
Qustion dos the large purge line going between motor and the charcole canester go before or after the throtle body? The reasion iam asking is I did an 4.2 fule injection upgrade most of the parts came from an 93 chrokee. When I put the linse the way a 4.2 wich is going to my intake the rpm go 1000 at idle. Wnen I remove the control or the purge line and block it off the rpm drop to 700.
Then today I mounted the XENON flat flares for test fit. I need to drill some new holes. The flares should line up for the money but they don't 100%, but they are sharp. They now come with support kit for the front flares to keep them from drooping in hot weather. Glad they fixed that.
After I drill the new holes they are coming off and the garage is being turned into a paint booth for Duplicolor Paint Shop Lacquer. I think its the worst stuff I could shoot, but I am not skilled at auto paint so if it lasts a few years, I will be happy and ready for the next round. The price is right, but I am not ready for AU or AE paint yet I don't think for the money needed to screw it up for my first paint job.
Those liners inside your fenders..where did you get THOSE??
The door liner tops were the old stock ones with hard vinyl on them. I took them to a car upholstry shop here in Richmond and showed them the old ones and went through their scrap bins with them and found the red with a thick foam backing on it. The only issue with the thicker padding is that I had to shim the window crank to clear it. If I had to do it over, I might do the same thing or go a shade thinner.
As far as the liners and the paint....the liners were the stock ones in the wheel wells. Removed, cleaned, painted and rebolted. As far as the duplicolor.....It is now 2016 and it is still in great shape. NO issues. Strongly recommend.....
Axles and bolts and springs....Oh My!
