Trying to decide which wires to get. Little help please. Entered 95 YJ, 4.0 for my vehicle on the web sites.

The Belden's are still @ Napa, 7mm, only $21.49
https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/C...+50038+2038050

Advance Auto no longer seems to carry the $30 Autolite.

Auto Zone, Advance Auto and O'rielly all recommend the 8.5mm MDS set which are $80 - $90.

Are the MDS worth the extra $60?

Autozone also has an Acel, 8mm set for $54

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm using Motorcraft p/n WR4050 from Rock Auto. ~$26. I think they're only 7mm, but they seem to work just fine.

Are you supposed to retune the carb after this mod? Or could it just depend on the jeep?

Adopt your pets. Don't shop for them.

In JeepHammer's thread they mention possibly having to lean-out the carb a bit. Depends on the Jeep. Timing shouldn't change.

Did the mod over the weekend without the new plug wires. Should arrive today. Had to crimp the old plugs so they would fit tight over the posts on the new cap.

Took out my existing plugs (which looked plenty clean), gapped them out to 45 and put them back in. Anybody see a problem with this?

Also resolved a vacuum leak around my intake manifold - this has made the biggest difference so far.

I did the team rush plus went with the MSD Box and eliminated the duraspark box. If you thought the team rush was bad, the MSD could make you wet yourself if you got zapped.

90 YJ, 4.2 with 2150 carb 4.0 Head and headers, Nutter with TFI and MSD. 1" BL, 2.5" spring lift, 33", Goodrich KM Mud Tires. Dana 30 w Aussie, Ford 8.8 w LS. 9000lb HF Winch.

Can you please repost the pictures? The links to them have gone bad.

Here in New Mexico, we don't go mudding, we go dusting!
