I don't know, the starter never turns so I'm guessing no. I'm still stuck on the needing the voltage to get the starter to move.

As Doug_1994 stated, I would check for a dead cell in the battery. I was getting nothing but clicks a few days ago, and 12.6 volts coming from the battery. After chasing wires, cleaning terminals, and removing and cleaning the ground, I was out of ideas. I gave up and removed the battery and had it tested. The battery turned out to be the culprit.

I know you said it was still producing 12 volts while cranking, but it's possible it isn't producing enough amps.

I tried jumping it this afternoon and it still wouldnt turn. I'm going to retest the starter and then the battery and I'll see what happens tomorrow, hopefully that will do the trick.

isn't there some little starter relay thing under the battery tray? i'm not sure on that year but my bro's had a similar prob. and he replaced that to no avail, i still say battery cables, try and look at walmart, they have some in various lengths and gauges, it's ok to go bigger not smaller gauge, length won't hurt give or take a few inches. what about the clutch bypass switch? (again i'm grasping here to help ya)
