tail lights stopped working?

for some reason my 2 tail ligths and center tail light above spare tire all went out, when i put my headlights on the running tail lights do work though, but not when i hit the brakes during the day no lights turn on, could this be a blown fuse or what? and if so which fuse is it??

Sounds like the switch connected at the top of your brake pedal went out to me.

my mechanic told me to look for a blown bulb in one of them and replace it because they can short each other out? that doesnt make sense to me but its a cheap enough fix to try

But seriously, its probably a bulb or the switch.

My turn left turn signal and horn stopped working and soon my tail lights were out. I finally figured out the plug on the column had been partially pushed out when I reinstalled my A/C unit under the dash.

Had the same thing happen with my lights about a month ago. Thankfully the new bulb solved the problem entirely, it was the frist thing I tried. Hope it works out the same for you!
