Tach hookup?

Hey guys, doing the HEI conversion to the heep right now. I've got a 12 volt hookup, but now I'm looking for a tach hookup. Suggestion for an easy fix, other than putting in another tach?

On your HEI distributor, right next to the 12v power input there will be a spot for a tach. I assume you will be running an aftermarket tach. If so, connect the green wire from the tach to the tach spot on the HEI. Red goes to power, black to ground, and white is illumination (if I recall corretly).

For anyone else doing this swap, I found the tach signal wire. After you swap in the distributor, you won't need your old coil anymore. There are four wires connected to the top of the coil. Two of them are Green W/a white stripe. One goes back to the ECU, and the other is your tach signal. Try hooking them to the tach lead on the dizzy one at a time.
