Swapped clutch now jeep won't start..

It just turns over but doesn't even try to start. Just came back from a wheeling trip were I burned the clutch up so I replaced it and now nothing. The jeep ran fine the whole weekend, well until the clutch started dying. I checked the coil and it seems that it may be that but it could also be the CPS. Anyone else have and ideas or clues? is there a way to teat the coil and the CPS? Oh and I tested the coil with the key on for a spark and nothing but I'm thinking that there is something before the coil causing it not to fire...

you may have bumped your cps when dropping the tranny. Will it turn over? Or just crank and sound like no spark? Might be the auto shut down relay. That will allow the starter to spin, but turn off the fuel pump, and the coil.

1991 YJ, rebuilt 4.0L in spring 2009 at 234,000 miles, no lift yet, slightly offset wheels, 235/75/15 tires for now, rag top, sold the hard top. Over 35,000 miles on the rebuild and counting.

2006 Jeep Liberty. Nothing special, all stock.

It cranks but no fire, I even tried the gas in the TB to see if it would even try but nothing. Where would this shut down relay be? I'm gonna swap the CPS later today, its raining here now so doing some web wheeling to narrow the issue down..

Make sure you didnt pinch any wires between the block and the bellhousing.

one of the wires on the cps had a tiny little nick in it that must have occured when we were fighting with the tranny

i replaced it and it fired right up!

Yup, sure sounds like the CPS. Check it for loose connection/bad wires before replacing.
Cheers!

OK so the Ohm level on the coil is 1.5 but still no spark. Took the CPS off, all looks well, cleaned it off and reinstalled. Still nothing, is there a way to check the CPS to see if it is bad?
