Is Supertop worth the money?

I am looking for semi-objective opinions here. I just bought my first Jeep. A 93 YJ. It has a shredded Bestop Supertop. To replace the supertop skin and buy new supertop compatible soft upper doors will cost as much as a complete new Supertop. I could also revert to an OEM soft top frame use square topped door frames and have a lot more choices in replacement tops. Is the Supertop worth the extra money? What features make it better? Thanks, I appreciate the help.

I would vote for OEM top or a SoftTopper. In my opinion BesTop quality isn't what it used to be. My Supertop has "Made in China" sewn into the seam...

The SoftTopper doesn't use a bow system so you need a family style role bar and either full doors or rounded corner soft uppers (like the suppertop or TJ style).

I had a supertop and was very disappointed with the quality. Spend the extra money and get the OEM Mopar top.

I agree that Bestop has taken a major turn for the worst as far as quality goes in the last few years. I have had their old stuff, and their new stuff, and the old stuff was better for sure. With that said, Bestop is the mfg who makes the OEM tops for Mopar and just puts the Mopar name on them.... SO, are "OEM" tops any different than the current Bestop tops? I am unable to say because I havent personally seen a "new" OEM top for a YJ (do they even make them for YJ's anymore??).... just something to think about.

I have a sunrider top from pavement ends. $600 including hardware. Its an awesome top but you cant get just the skin or just the windows you have to buy the complete top hardware and all. Atleast I havent found a place that sells it without the hardware. It came on the jeep when I bought it. Its I think 6 years old now but still in amazingly good shape

I have no complaints on my SuperTop, but of course I got mine from a local auction site and only paid $140 for it with the hardware and it was brand new when I got it last year.

And $60 for a set of matching seat covers. Money spent still less than one new seat and noone knows but you. Your making it really hard not to hate though man. Really hard

LOL!
Ask my wife...I'm a cheap SOB and can find deals all the time. I just sent Giggity a link to an Atlas II tc on CL here...they're only asking $1500 for it and it comes with Jeep 23 spline input and a Chevy 350 TH input shaft...whatever the spline count is on that one. It just needs a front output yoke.

I currently have some ragged Supertop uppers. They have the rounded corner. Would these match up with the SoftTopper ? How about the Rampage frameless soft top? Would my Supertop upper doors match it?

I've searched in vain for replacement skins for the Supertop soft upper doors. I'm thinking I might get square cornered skins, turn them inside out, sew a rounded corner and trim off the excess. Anyone tried this?

I appreciate the help.

What makes the Supertop better than a stock Mopar top?

I like my super top over the stock top but the only reason I got it was for the rounded corners to use a set of full doors. Realistically it's all about how you use your jeep. DD? I only use my YJ to wheel and as a grocery getter, so I only use my top in the cold weather. Rest of the year I take it completely off so I don't ruin it. To me the super top is just the same as oem top except the rounded corners.
