Superior super 8.8 axle seal problem

Here is my problem, I can not get the right side axle seal to seal. It is not leaking from the inner seal to axle shaft but the outer area of the seal at the bottom of the seal. I also have about a 1/2" play of the axle in and out and also can move the axle up and down. Now when I remove my caliper bracket and dust shield and just install the axle I can get the axle tight and no play or leaking. Anyone running this setup had or having a problem like this? Left side is doing just fine.

May have figured out my problem. I did not receive and spacers with my kit. Questions for those who have ran this kit, did your get come with spacers that went between the rapetauner plate and the seal?

Great! Or if you can just get me the measurements of it I can go off that. Again thanks for the help.

PM mrblaine (he is on the TJ forum) and ask him. He designed the kit for Superior and has all the knowledge/parts you need to fix your problem.

Good call John. I traded a couple PM's with the OP & it looks like his issue is getting resolved. I'll see Blaine tomorrow to see if he has any handy in case the OP's current plan doesn't work out & so I'll know if he has any in the future.

Joe, when you talk to him could you ask him if he has the dimensions of the spacer?

Better yet, I'll call him right now to see if he knows off the top of his head. Like I mentioned, he may have some laying around. I'll check.

I just got off the phone with Blaine. He doesn't have them laying around. I have two spare S88 axle shafts - but my spare axle shafts have all the parts already pressed onto them, so they can't be removed without screwing with the retaining coller, bearing, and seal.

He recommends calling Currie Ent and tell them that you need the spacer that goes between a set 20 bearing seal and the axle retainer plate for a disc equipped axle. They should be able to figure the correct part from there.

Blaine was wondering if you got the kit new, or possibly second hand?
