so if its a d35c that would be stamped on it somewhere right

As much as I would hate to use a Ford axle under my Jeep (I'm a GM guy) I would use the 8.8 LONG before spending a single penny or second on a Dturdyfive...as many of those axles that were used, if it were practical to try beefing one up there would be a lot more of them on wheelers. Find the axle you want to use, grind off the perches in your driveway, buy the ones you need and have a shop weld them in place....you'll be MUCH better off and happier in the end.

That view has been expressed a few times. It's valid but the OP is planning to stay with his 35.

Not planning on anything, was just looking at options, didnt realize I needed a new carrier. As I mentioned I'm going to keep my eyes open for an already set up 8.8 (either someone parting out or upgrading)

The 'C' in 'D35C' doesn't mean it has C-clips. It's in the FAQ. The axles were 'C'ustom, i.e. they are sent unfinished to DChrysler.

ok last post sorry for jackin the thread. In my 91 axles they are only goin to be c-clips if it is a d35c though correct
