Super 35 axles and Locker??
I am meeting with a new mechanic tomorrow, and we talked on the phone about beefing up the rear axles before we put in a locker and gears.
The advice was given from his experience of axle breakage by putting any limited slip locker with the standard 35 axles. We talked about going with the Superior Super 35 30 spline Axle kit and then go with a full locker instead of the various limited slip types. Is this breakage potential a reality with the standard axle/limited slip locker set up? I've been looking for the best package deals for gears and axles, and there are a lot of companies. Any feedback is appreciated....

Yes a locked, stock D35 has a tendency to break. Super 35 is a good option

What about just doing the front? Does this breakage problem occur often w/ the Dana 30?

That is what I did. The stress isn't as much on the front as in the rear. I have no regrets. I'll do the rear in the sprng when I do the super 35.
