Sulfer smell

Hey Jeep Forum, how's it going?

i've recently noticed a sulfer-like smell that surrounds my jeep every now and then. Unfortunately, I don't think i'm the culprit.

I talked to one of my neighbors and he mentioned that it might just be the gas that I filled the tank up with. He said that when demand for gas gets high, the inspection and quality can sometimes be bypassed to keep costs down.
By his theory, it's just a matter of cycling out the gas or getting a fuel cleaner.

I'm wondering what else do you guys think might cause that?

Is it a rotten egg/ sulfur smell? If so it coudl be your cat.

I had a toyota supra with a 1jz JDM twin turbo motor in it and had a similar smell with that car. When i would get into boost at all the ammount of fuel that the car was burning had an effect on the cat and i would get a sulfur/ rotten egg smell. When you smell is it after a lot of throttle?

Usually it's right when I start it up and after throttling

Tell me your results! I know the issue might not be the same, but it could be an answer for me.
