Stupid question ????

I am putting in a new timing chain in and I was looking over my jeep before I went to the parts store I checked the air filter and noticed the drivers side motor mount has seen better days and from what I have read on the forums is that this will happen regularly ? or that's what I understood I could be wrong ? so the stupid question will 4.0 motor mounts fit on a 2.5 ? and if they fit would they last longer ? My jeep is a 92 YJ with a 2.5 and a five speed I like the brown dog motor mounts but if 4.0 mounts would work then no need to spend $90 I have searched the internet and can't find any info. Thanks Sam

They look very similar, but rockauto shows all different part numbers for the 2.5 than for the 4.0. So I would conclude that they do not interchange.

They are just a little different. Made the same, so 4.0 won't be any better. Just the center pin bushing is wider
