stop and go driving, short trips

I live on a small island, and sometimes will start my jeep (95 2.5) cold and drive 1 to 2 miles and not drive again for a few hours. Besides taking it out on extended drives (3 trips around the island!) are there any prevetative steps I can take to save harm from all the short trips I make where I barely break 35 mph? I recently saw an ad for an oil designed specifecaly for stop and go driving, but forgot what brand it is. any and all suggestions are appreciated.

JUST CHANGE YOUR OIL OFTEN BECASUSE CARBON WILL BE HIGHER IN YOUR OIL BECAUSE OF THE FUEL MIXTURE BEING RICH WHEN YOUR MOTOR IS COLD AND GO AROUND THE IALAND 10 TIMES IN STEAD OF 3
