Starter Relay or Starter Solenoid questions

Trying to reduce some wiring from a HEI upgrade... What does this green wire on the top left of the starter relay or starter solenoid do/operate? It ran into 2-4 other wires in the wiring harness that went to the distributor/alternator. It is unhooked right now and does not seem to affect anything at all.....

i can't really see it too good in those pics. it's somewhat confusing what goes where....

here's the deal from what i know... and i've dealt with that relay A LOT...

big stud goes from alternator to battery.

dark green w/white stripe goes to your starter solenoid.

black is a ground wire i think.

and the 3rd, if i remember right, is the trigger wire when you turn the key to the start position.

if you buy a new replacement from the dealer today it will have a 4th wire that if i remember right and its a ground wire.

Just wondering if this wire/connection goes to something critical... I did the 2100/HEI upgrades and have a few scraps to clean up...

it's your starter relay, but it's not THAT important...
I mean, you could always push start your jeep, assuming it's a manual.....
