Starter problems

everytime i take my jeep out in the mud i will wash it off and park it and it may be a week or so till i drive it agian. well then when i start it the starter just clicks really fast. and i wanted to know if anyone else had this problem. this is the 3rd starter i have put on it and it is eating them up. thank you for the help

I've only seen the fast click with a battery problem. The solenoid engages, the starter coils instantly suck the battery voltage so low that the solenoid drops out, that makes the voltage go up again, so the solenoid clicks in again, and on and on.

are all you connection good and clean? you might try a different battery or jump the jeep when starting it to see if the battery ain't putting out hte juice.
