Start issue

My '95 YJ sometimes gives me a bit of trouble when first started after a long, (like overnight) sit.

Plenty of power in the battery but the thing doesn't fire quickly,

I started turning on the ignition and pumping the gas a few times before trying it to, (in my mechanically challenged mind), get some gas moving towards the spark plugs before trying to turn it over.

Yesterday I dumped some treatment into a tank of gas to try to clean the fuel injectors.

Anyone else see this or have any suggestions?

Any help is appreciated.

when you turn the key to the ON position (before start) look for your Check Engine Light to illuminate and then go out.. Then turn the key to start and see if it fires right up. Pumping the throttle pedal will most likely not help your starting issue.

Maybe also try turning it on and listening for the pump to prime the system. It should sound like a light humming noise. Once you hear it, or after a few seconds, turn the key off and then try starting it. Your fuel pressure might be bleeding off overnight

I don't feel like working on anything at this time so i sold my yj.
