Can anyone tell me what the standad options are on a 92 Sahara? Are the Sahara options different for the different years? Also is there any functional differences (Rear Ends, Suppension etc.) or is it mostly cosmetic?
My 91 is a Sahara. All Sahara's come with the 4.0L (or at least the 91 and ups). My 5-speed also had 3.55 gears and Trac-Loc in the rear, which I beleive were options. The full flare treatment is also common to all YJ Sahara's. The interior is upgraded as well, if you call door pockets an upgrade .

Dunno about earlier years, but my 95 came with upgraded shocks I replaced. Fog lights, long gone. Upgraded electrical, I replaced with a welder. Let see, what else did I pay for that I didn't keep? 20 gallon tank. I still have that but wouldn't ya know ya just pull the vent insert on a 15 gallon tank and it's a 20 gallon tank. I think that's it. Oh wait, painted flares and steps. Guess what, yup, long gone.
The Problem I am having is that when looking for a Jeep no one ever knows whats on them for options, They just say oh! It's a Sahara.
I need to know what to look for when buying a Jeep. Options I know of 1-Rearends
2-Cloth Seats 3-Tilt 4-Tracloc 5-Center Console 6-Reclining Seats 7-Moulded Running Boards 8-Rear Defrost. I dont know what options came on what models or if I am missing any options. The reason I ask is because I figure the bigger rearend with Tracloc would be nice seeings how I probly wont be able to upgrade for a while. And wiht a vehicle with so few options it would be nice to get a few.
My 92 (not Sahara) has factory Trac-loc and has a sticker in the glove box saying something about a Trac-loc. Otherwise, take a jack and spin a rear wheel, if the other turns the same direction you've got a positraction (Trac-loc) rearend, if it turns the opposite it's an open diff. Sometimes you can also crawl around the rear end and there are tags and/or stamps around the gear cover that gives info on what the gears are and the model, etc.
