No, way that I can see to hook up other speakers other than some significant hacking of the device.

I have an OLD 80 gig Ipod, been looking at the amps trying to find a marine one that would mount in the botom of my center console so its hidden, but would be nice to pick one at a yard that I can lock for when top/doors are off

FYI, just because something is Marine grade doesn't mean it's waterproof. Especially audio systems, marine grade just means Moisture Resistant, not waterproof. They'll survive with getting a little splash of water on them from time to time, but submerse any audio component and out comes the blue smoke.

Don't plan on going in water that deep, but don't want it to fry from a splash or rain if I get caught with my top off. Soft top is in the plans, but it's a ways off

stick it in the glove box or bolted on the inside or outside of your center console. You're going to spend more money trying to get around it than you would just buying a cheap name brand radio. I looked at all this about 15 years ago.

edit: nevermind. that's pretty cool! I couldn't find that back then for so cheap. They were like $300 then

CD players were really expensive at first as well, everything price drops in time

I tend to stay away from anything Pyle. Always a disappointment. Look at the specs. No way it is going to deliver 400 watts RMS with the whole kit weighing 2 pounds.

There is a good JBL marine amp for $83 bucks which will easily light up a soundbar.

Sometimes it pays to spend a couple bucks more.

^Agreed, typically when it comes to audio equipment, you get what you pay for. I would invest in a good amp.

True as this may be I'd still like to go water resistant at least, and even if I didn't use the amp it'd be worth getting all the waterproffing gear for the iPod, those bags without the headphone jack cost between 10 and 20 from what I've seen
