soft window tint

I bought a sail cloth top about 6 months ago. I regret not getting tinted windows. There must be a product out there that can tint soft windows. Anybody know?

I would not bother to try, it wont last and it ends up looking crappy most of the time. If you still want to try it i would suggest going to get it done professionally.

Yea thats what I was thinking. Go to quadratec.com and look at the replacements windows, see if they will match up with your windows now.

dont do it yourself, i tinted my front windows down to 5% limo tint with 2 1/2 in the back, people thought it was professionally done but, i got pulled over and the cop was a *** and made me pull it off the front windows, now its like still sticky 4 months later and i wish i could see out of a clear window...but quadratec sells em for the back windows.

5% is way to much even for the back windows, no wonder the cop pulled you over. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> I have the tinted window replacements for my regular Bestop softtop and love them. If they had tinted windows when I bought my soft top I definately would have bought them.

I got some of that film window tint at Wally world and did it myself. Looks pretty damn good too if I must say so myself. I can try to take a pict.& post tomorrow if you reqest it. And it's the stuff that goes on wet so you can peel it off and no harm done.

I ordered my Black soft-top from BESTTOP and they sent me the tinted windows without even asking for them.. i thought that was cool! but they look great!

Its worth just ordering the replacements.

I have a '94 YJ with full hard doors and a soft top. I tinted my front glass windows to 2%, and it looks great. I did my soft top windows to 2% too, and it works great. Make sure you get the adhesive tint film and not the cling type. Mine looks decent, not great though...but if i would have taken my time and paid more attention to what i was doing it would have been easy to do it the right way...but the way it is now, you cant see a damn thing inside my Jeep unless you look in the windsheild, and still its real dark inside. It does work very well, just make sure you take lots and lots of time and do it the right way!!!

It was dark by then. I'll take a picture tomorrow when she's sitting here in the drive getting some fluids changed and new thermostat, possibly I'll do the tranny mount too while I 'm under there wrenchin' away. noon would be best, do you know how difficult or easy it is to post a pict.?
