Soft Top question

Hello all,
I just put the soft top on the jeep this past weekend and noticed I had some pretty nasty mud stains left over from summer wheelin. I know I tried washing the thing before with some light soap but it didnít do much. Is there a better way to clean the top with out causing chemical damage? If it helps i have a Bestop Supertop with Black denim.

I just use some dish detergent and a coarse brush. That usually works for me.
