So my jeep rolled off a cliff. What next?

I went out to the sticks yesterday to help a friend who got stuck on his way to a house he is working on. I managed to pull his truck and trailer out of the rut and was starting to bring in the winch line. Well my jeep popped out of gear and the ebrake failed. In the process of winching i had pulled the jeep about 8 inches from the rocks i had behind my tires. Well it rolled over all 4 of them and headed straight for the edge. The ******* that works with my friend thought he was strong enough to stop the jeep so he grabbed the cable and his pinky went through the snatch block along with the cable. Well i found it next to the trailer. The jeep dropped off the edge and fell about 20 ft to a landing. It busted out my right rear passenger window, The half *** bumper hoop on the back driver side looks more like a pancake, my rear springs look like sleigh skis and the whole rear axle is about 10 degrees off center, probably from the springs. I am working on getting some new springs and the glass.

What else should i check for. I was able to drive it out of the driveway but had it towed back on the guys trailer. I don't really know where to start with this whole mess. Any suggestions?

No pics of the spot, i was too freaked with the whole half a finger thing to even worry about pics. But the whole scene keeps playing in my head. No clue about frame damage, i didn't look too hard when i got home, i just said screw it and got drunk and played poker.

lol- anytime someone loses a finger, thats a reason to drink to me!

As for the jeep- as stated above, check for frame damage, check ALL stearing, and suspension parts, and check out the motor mounts, and body mounts. an impact after a fall of ~20' will do quite a bit of damage depending on how your rig is set up.

Sorry to hear about your jeep, but how is the guys finger? Did they reattach it, or was it too mangled? When people panic like that, usually something like this happens.

I'd check for frame damage first, almost everything else can be replaced fairly easily.

This is a little off-topic, sorry -but is this how y'all do this? I've been thinking of getting a winch at some point but I've never seen one used. (Yup, a newbie..) Things I've been thinking about would be just the same thing mentioned here (EBake ****ting the bed) or the cable snapping and shooting through the windshield and such.. What'd be the best way to pull your (or other) vehicle up?

Well anyways, real sorry for you're friends finger -and of course the Jeep..
How's the TC and rear shaft doing? Did the rear axle moving outta place break anything in that region?
