So this happened, next steps?

Was driving down the highway, went to shift to 5th gear and in between the shifts I noticed the RPM go shooting up. Thought it was odd so I take the next exit. When I pull off the freeway the motor will not come down off 4k RPM's. I can put it in gear and drive it, never have to touch the gas as it thinks it is supposed to be at 4k rpm's. After a bit of tinkering I think it is the Idle Control Motor...

Sure enough get that swapped out for a new one, and wala the jeep idles normal again. BUT now when I am in the driveway (no load) I can pull the throttle and it revs up nice and settles back down nicely. As soon as I start actually driving, it shudders and shimmers basically from 1.5k RPM and up, it goes but it there is obviously something wrong still.. (Smells Rich as well)

I was told to look at the TPS sensor, but apparently I am dense and can't find it so if someone wants to take a pic for me and show me that would be awesome... Any other ideas though...

Thanks in advance

I cant offer help,
just wanted to say-
sorry 2013 was giving you such bad luck with the Jeep...
things falling off...things malfunctioning...that's pretty unfortunate.
hopefully this year things start to turn around!

The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is on the throttle body. There should be (3) torx head screws holding it on. Take it off and clean it up. Sometimes years of sludge will make them stick and do weird things.
